Call for abstracts

The Universitat Politècnica of València invites all the academicians and professionals interested in the subject to present their contributions to the congress RESTAPIA 2012, both as papers and posters for the exhibition that will take place parallel to the lectures. Persons who desire to present a paper or a poster in the congress must propose an abstract of 300 words, with the title, name and affiliation of authors. Abstracts will be preferably presented in English, although Spanish is also accepted. Name and contact data of all authors (company, organization, institution, post address, telephone, fax, e-mail) as well as a short CV of each author will be given together with the abstract. Papers and posters will be preferably in English, although Spanish is also accepted. Oral presentation may be done indistinctly either in English or Spanish. All the abstracts, papers and posters will follow the template given by the congress.

The programmed topics for the congress will include following areas (see congress themes):

T1. Rammed earth architecture and construction (T1.1.; T1.2; T1.3)
T2. Conservation of rammed earth architecture (T2.1.; T2.2; T2.3)
T3. Earthen architecture and construction (T3.1.; T3.2; T3.3)
T4. Conservation of earthen architecture (T4.1.; T4.2; T4.3)

Participants in the congress, both papers for 15 min oral presentation and posters for the exhibition will be peer review selected by the International Scientific Committee among the abstracts presented before November 15th 2011. All the accepted participations will be published in the congress proceedings with ISBN, provided that at least one author will pay the inscription of the congress.

The congress proceedings will be published by CRC Press / Balkema, Taylor & Francis Group.

The Scientific Committee will give the following awards:

1. Best scientific paper (1 award)
2. Best young research paper (till 40 years old) (1 award)
3. Best postgraduate student paper (1 award) 
4. Best undergraduate student paper (1 award) 
5. Best posters (1 award) 
6. Extraeuropean grant (2 awards)

Participants will consider the key deadlines showed. Papers received after the deadlines will not be included in the congress proceedings.

GUIDELINES 
All the images must be in jpg or tiff format with a resolution of 300 ppi. All abstracts, papers and posters will follow the congress templates.
